Personality: Does Xapheal have a personality? Maybe. He's terrible at expressing it though, but he's content not to. A nihilist by nurture, Xapheal doesn't really give a damn about most things. Inherently selfish and sort of an asshole, Xapheal's not really good at selling his 'better' points.
Rather old fashioned, sentimental and a little bit lazy when he can afford it, Xapheal prefers a smaller company. The years behind him have made him severely paranoid about who he can trust. He's older than he's supposed to be and that's a hard impression to keep up all the time. Possessing a sharp tongue and cutting wit, he's someone who tries not to get caught in the cross fire of others while trying to escape his own fight. Preferring to take the route of self-preservation, Xapheal thinks he's willing to sacrifice anything and anyone in order to ensure he's got his way out. That sole will of his seems to be slowly eroding away though, only time will tell how that serves him.
Aside from all that plot stuff, Xaph likes music and relaxing with a good book on off non plot driven days.
History: Xapheal prefers not to bother with much of his past. He's not had the best of lives, but then again who hasn't? He got into a bad world at an early age and he was a part of it for a good part of his life. It was his own choice to get out of it and it was his own choice, and subsequently fault, that he pissed off a lot of people when he made his exit from that world. He's accepted the fact that said people are now constantly after him and there's potentially a very high reward for his head, but it's not like he can't accept it. He'd be dead now if he couldn't.
He's trying very hard to have it all as water under the bridge though. After a good year of running, he's finally thinking that maybe he can settle down. Get himself a nice/ livable apartment around the outer rings of Lillium. Make a living off his music in small time legal gigs, join a book club and maybe even have a pet goldfish or something. Normal things, he's ready for normal things.
Trouble keeps finding him though.
Notable Relations:
The Underground - A mysterious network that conducts illegal activities. It consists of different gangs, families, businesses and the like. Xapheal seems to have done something to piss them off. Sadly, those from the Underground hold grudges that aren't taken lightly.
Catherine Surrex - Xapheal's well meaning neighbor. Sometimes she's so nice, he's suspicious, but sometimes she's so nice, he can't help but just enjoy himself.
Andries Romano - Lives upstairs from Xaph with his two kids. Single father and part time chef at a small cafe, likes taking in strays. Won't tell anyone how he got so skilled with a knife.
Normal Appearance: Xaph often feels quite cold even when its hot outside. Because of that, he’s often found sporting long sleeved shirts and jeans. Not one for accessories, the most he has on are his headphones.
Standing at a slightly taller than average height, Xaph is of a slim build and lean muscle. His features are almost as sharp as his eye are. Often held in a neutral or glaring expression. His eyes are a very icy shade of blue, though they seem to darken whenever he’s especially pissed off. Dark rings often frame his eyes; signs of a few nights without enough sleep. He has a thick head of brackish navy coloured hair that’s often messy, uncombed and curled up all the way at the ends. He has no defining scars, at least none that are visible given his conservative attire.
